Sanctuary in the City: Sibling Rivalry

Sibling Rivalry

Princesses Anna Amalia von Preussen and Wilhemine von Bayreuth enjoyed wealth, beauty, and plenty of musical talent. Their brother, King Frederick the Great, wasn’t too shabby a musician himself. Join baroque flautist Anthony Allen and clavichordist Henry Lebedinsky for a musical family portrait, featuring flute sonatas by all three siblings as well as their teacher C.P.E. Bach, as well as the fascinating stories behind the music and this extraordinary family.

Enjoy this FREE lunchtime concert in the gorgeous acoustic of Christ Our Hope at the Josephinum,
where Downtown meets Belltown.

Seattle-based Pacific MusicWorks is a musical production company focused primarily, but not exclusively, on the presentation of vocal chamber music and operatic works of the 17th and 18th centuries. In recent years we have also committed ourselves to commissioning new works written for period instruments as a means of bridging the stories of the past with those of today.

Christ Our Hope is located at 1902 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101.

Complimentary admission – simply show up at the door (free-will offering encouraged). There is no video or LIVESTREAM for this event.
